Des is from Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, and qualified from Trinity College, Dublin in 2005 with a BABDENTSC degree. He was one of three selected to represent Trinity College on an international level in the European Dental Students Association.
He has provided top quality dental care in private practice ever since. In 2012, he set up Abbey Dental Care in partnership with Dr Tony Welsh.
Des is a member of the Irish Dental Association and is always keen to keep up with the constantly changing practice of dentistry. He refines his skills by attending the most up-to-date courses in aesthetic and restorative dentistry. Des prides himself on his results when working with crowns, veneers, bridges, white fillings and tooth whitening. Des has grown a great reputation for his pain-free dental technique, and strives to provide same-day pain relief to emergency patients. Des welcomes the nervous patient to the practice, and devotes time and patience to make the experience as painless and as comfortable as possible.
